The County Clerk has many responsibilities in Marshall County Government. The County Clerk is the Election Official of the County, manages payroll, budget, tax extensions, delinquent taxes, Clerk of the County Board, keeper of vital statistics, marriage licenses, notaries, assumed names, liquor/Raffle licenses and economic interest statements.

The Marshall County Clerk also serves as the County Recorder and is responsible as the Recorder to make record of all deeds and instruments of title of property in Marshall County including, but not limited to, Warranty Deeds, Quit Claim Deeds, Cemetery Deeds, Mortgages and Assignments, Releases, Plats, Easements, Assignments of Rents/Leases, Memos of Agreement, Liens and Judgments.

Delinquent Taxes

Delinquent taxes sold in Marshall County tax sales must be redeemed in the Office of the County Clerk in person or by mail. It is necessary to call our office to be assured of the exact amount of payment. Payment must be made in cash, certified check or money order made out to the Marshall County Clerk.
