Marriage/Civil Union licenses for anyone that will be married or joined in civil union in Marshall County may be obtained from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Office of the County Clerk. Both parties must be present to complete the marriage/civil union license application. A form of identification that includes the applicant’s picture, name and date of birth is necessary. The license may be used the following day and expires after 60 days. No blood test is required. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. For applicants under the age of 18, both parents must be present during the application process.
Effective June 1, 2011, Marriage/Civil Union License fees are $75.00 cash.
No Children allowed at the time of applying for your Marriage Certificate.
Applicants who have been married/or in a civil union previously will be asked to provide the date and county the previous divorce, invalidity of civil union or confirmation of death.
